Prenatal Portraits – 3D/4D Ultrasound

It’s been said that a picture is worth a 1,000 words. But we at Oakland-Macomb OB-GYN think a 3D/4D prenatal ultrasound photo is one type of picture that leaves people speechless.

There are no words.

We are happy to be able to offer live pictures of your baby while still in the womb. The images are beautiful, ena- bling you to see your unborn baby stretch, yawn, move and swallow with a clarity much greater than a traditional 2D ultrasound.

Bonding with your baby

We can help to create a keepsake that you and your family will never forget. Our unique packages have different offerings including color photographs and DVD of the entire ultrasound session.

We recommend scheduling an appointment between 26 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. This time period offers optimal visualization of your baby.

The 3D/4D ultrasound does not take the place of the regular diagnostic ul- trasound during pregnancy. We re- quire the diagnostic ultrasound (gen- erally done between 18-20 weeks of pregnancy) be completed before of- fering the 3D/4D ultrasound. Issues such as due dates, fetal anomalies and other pregnancy complications will in no way be evaluated during this ultrasound.
